TEACHING

Robyn began teaching in 2010 at The Performance.net in Auckland, New Zealand before working as a casting assistant for with New Zealand’s Barefoot Casting. She was recruited to run ran talent classes nationally with Talent Scouts New Zealand before moving to Sydney in 2013.

In Australia she taught at The Sydney Drama School, Point Break Drama School and Bright Sparks Performing Arts School and ran exclusive talent classes with Bambini modeling and acting agency located in Sydney.

In London she has guest lectured at De Montfort University, The Royal Holloway University, Kingston University, London South Bank University and Roehampton University.

Robyn’s classes are generated mainly for screen technique but can be applied across all mediums of performance. She teaches a mixture of techniques, provides industry advice, audition preparation and script work.

Classes are kept relatively small to ensure each individual receives the attention that they need

They focus on dropping bad habits, removing blocks, learning stillness and presence and being able to stop the pretending and the tricks and to become able to listen and respond fully and become affected. The focus relies heavily on not “acting” or “pretending” but becoming truthful under imaginary circumstances.
